Working together to
end Homelessness

CATH House

CATH House is our 16 bed direct access hostel providing support and emergency accommodation to anyone over the age of 16 with multiple and complex needs who find themselves homeless or under the threat of homelessness.

CATH House whilst operating as a “dry house”  adopt a high tolerance approach to the support of individuals who may still currently be addressing issues in or around alcohol dependency and/or substance misuse. This high tolerance approach ensures a unique service which offers accommodation to service users who otherwise would be unable to secure accommodation.

Service users will be allocated a dedicated development worker who will work with the service user to establish a personal support plan identifying general and specific needs. During their stay at the hostel the personal support plan will be modified and adapted to suit the changing needs and requirements of the individual.

Where more specific/specialised support is required to positively address service user issues CATH will work collaboratively and extensively with all other agencies in the Perth and Kinross area. Referrals are made as a matter of routine and where appropriate service users can be accompanied to attend appointments.
